Le jeu de la réalité sans danger

Anaïs Héraud-Louisadat is a performer and visual artist, while Till Baumann is a musician and sound artist. In their collaborative performances, sound and image intertwine, repeating and transforming live in the moment. Poems, anagrams, or even single words serve as the score for a series of performative actions.

Among their collaborations are the Ritournelle performances. These works follow the logic of the ritournelle—a French term referring to short phrases, often melodic, that are repeated continuously. Ritournelles function similarly to musical loops and appear in various contexts, such as rituals, children’s songs, advertisements, or political slogans during demonstrations. Through repetition, the singer(s) create a temporary, transitional space between inner and outer worlds. 

For the performance «Le jeu de la reality sans danger », the artists drew inspiration from the writings of Unica Zürn (1916–1970), a German painter, poet and writer, for developing the performance’s score.
